Ordinary is a small town located in the New England state of Maine. According to one of its residents --- a young woman named Samantha --- Ordinary is a town where nothing "out of the ordinary" (or eventful) ever occurs.[1]
Events of Quantum Break[]
When William Joyce corrects the miscalculation in the equation used in the design of the University time machine[2] (which is later believed by Sofia Amaral to have been sabotage[3]), the consequences of his actions set off a chain reaction that reach beyond Riverport, Massachusetts. In the town of Ordinary, Maine, a massive power outage occurs. Following the power outage, town saw a significant spike in violent crimes.[note 1]

- "Ordinary" was first mentioned in the Alan Wake ARG blog, "This House of Dreams".
- In the Old Gods of Asgard single "Balance Slays the Demon", the message in the background -- “It will happen again, in another town, a town called Ordinary.” -- cannot be heard unless the audio is reversed.[4]
- The protagonist of Control, Jesse Faden, lived in Ordinary with her brother Dylan Faden.
