Mikko Rautalahti is a Finnish director and writer.[1] He was narrative lead for Remedy Entertainment's Quantum Break.[2][3]
Biography[]
Rautalahti began his career in in 1998 in a "Quality engineer, test team lead, translator" position for L&H Finland until 2000. In 1999 he maintained a position as a freelance writer in Sanoma Magazines Finland until 2003.[4]
In 2001, he was employed by Small Planet Ltd. as a technical writer. From 2005 to 2009, Rautalahti worked as an editor for Roolipelaaja Magazine and Tilt Magazine as well as freelance game designer and translator for RedLynx and Lionbridge.[4]
One of Rautalahti's earliest film projects was starring in 2005 Star Trek parody, Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning and acting as the film's script consultant.[1] In 2010 he directed the music video short for Poets of the Fall's "War".[1] 2012 he was credited for the screenplay of the Finnish musical, Imaginaerum[5] and was one of the writers for Alan Wake's American Nightmare.[1]
Respectively, Rautalahti's career at Remedy began in 2008. He was a freelance writer during the first three years of early production for the 2010 video game Alan Wake. In September 2011, he became senior writer of Remedy Entertainment and maintained the position for two years until December 2013 wherein he was promoted to manager of Remedy's story team.[4] In February 2016, he was promoted to Narrative Lead of the company.[4]
